No One like Nelson

“We can change the world and make it a better place.  It is in your hands to make a difference.” Look at powerful these words are. Words have the ability to captivate you, grip you, and change you in a moment. Nelson Mandela knew how to do this in his own way and at this time, more than any other, we remember all of his mighty words.

Nelson Mandela passed away on Thursday, December 5th, yet he continues to live on in our hearts.  He was a strong, well-known, and meek man who truly knew that he had a purpose and destiny to live a great life.  Though most of his time was spent in prison, he never considered that his life was wasted but rather taking a stand for equality and making a lasting impact.

This year, Mandela endured chronic sickness and was in the hospital for awhile but was then transferred home.  AT that point he began to receive medical care in his home, which was such a benefit.  He received the treatment he needed without having to leave the comfort of his home.  Mandela was able to improve from this care and live life with joy.

ImageNelson Mandela lived his life as a “Freedom fighter, prisoner, moral compass and South Africa’s symbol of the struggle against racial oppression.” ( He had the uncanny ability to persevere and not be moved.  He made sure to smile and be kind while trying to get his point across.  He lived his life as a bridge to others and go higher and higher in life.

We recognize him as a shining light and bright star to all who live and breather today.  He lived his life pursuing freedom and happiness for all.  For all that he is, has been, and will be, we remember Nelson Mandela.
